Melbourne sport museum to commence Ashes tours

There is no rivalry quite like the one held between Australia and England cricket fans as their teams battle it out over the Ashes, but for those who cannot make the matches there are now new tours available at Melbourne's National Sports Museum.

Travellers jetting off on flights to Australia between June 29th and August 31st can enjoy special themed Ashes tours designed to highlight areas of the museum dedicated to this famous Test match series.

Visitors will be guided through the history of Australian-England cricket, from the first Test match in 1877 to the present day.

Highlights of the tours include the Blackham Ball, which was used by Australia in that first 1882 victory in England, and video footage of Aussie greats Keith Miller and Don Bradman in action.

The Ashes 2009 begins on July 8th with the first five-day NPower test at Cardiff's Sophia Gardens.
