Kelly Rowland loves Aussie fashion

Former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland has revealed her love for local Australian designers.

The singer is currently staying in Sydney and has been shopping at a number of designer stores in the city such as Manning Cartell, Sass and Bide, she told AAP.

Two years ago, Rowland wore an Australian designer's outfit to a concert in Cannes.

Juli Grbac, the Brisbane-born winner of Australia's Project Runway, custom made the outfit for the Grammy award-winning singer.

The pound is currently faring well against the Australian dollar, giving sassy shoppers greater value for money abroad.

Throughout the country there are a number of department stores offering a wide variety of different Australian and international brands.

As well as clothing, tourists may be interested in the multitude of cultural offerings while shopping too.

Ranging from boomerangs to Tim Tams, a famed and extremely popular chocolate biscuit, tourists can grab a bargain or splash out on an outfit from one of Rowland's favoured designers.
