Art lovers heading down under for Australia holidays will be able to catch all the culture of the Asia Pacific Triennial from this December. The event, which is the sixth in the triennial's history, will be held at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art from December 5th 2009 to April 5th 2010.
Artwork from more than 100 artists from 25 countries will be on display at the event, reflecting the diversity of practices across Asia, the Pacific and Australia.
Artists from Tibet, North Korea, Turkey and Iran, will all be represented at the exhibition, as will those from countries of the Mekong region such as Cambodia and Myanmar.
Performing arts and music will not be neglected either, with the Pacific Reggae Project taking a look at this musical genre in Hawaii, the Solomon Islands, and New Zealand.
