All eyes are on New Zealand

A new website showcasing all the sights to be taken in on a holiday to New Zealand has been launched.

Eyeballnz.com is the product of 15 months on the road, 95 hours on a plane and 16,000 photos taken by adventurous couple Penny and Steve Bicknell to show off the country.

The pair now want other people who have been on New Zealand holidays to contribute their own photos and stories to the site to create a comprehensive travel guide for holidaymakers.

Mr Bicknell described the website as an online photographic atlas, allowing browsers to explore New Zealand in a whole new way.

We've endeavoured to capture New Zealand without the stock standard shots of bungy jumping, mud pools, and Milford Sound. This is heartland. This is New Zealand off the tourist track.

Travellers wishing to catch a glimpse of New Zealand this October will also be able to visit the Nelson Art Festival, which will feature a range of range of theatre, music, dance performances, poetry and artistic workshops.
