Air New Zealand crew strip down for safety video

Fed up with passengers not paying attention to the in-flight safety talk, an Air New Zealand crew has stripped off for a new eye-catching video.

The new "Bare Essentials" safety video recently went live on the airline's 737 domestic flights and shows cabin crew dressed in nothing but carefully-applied body paint.

Even Air New Zealand Airline's own chief executive officer Rob Fyfe appears 'in the buff' in a bid to make travellers sit up and pay attention.

The airline's general manager marketing Steve Bayliss said: "Safety is paramount and non-negotiable at Air New Zealand, and we wanted to find a way to deliver these important pre-flight messages to our domestic travellers in a way that was genuine, engaging and fun, while meeting all our ... guidelines."

In related air travel news, Singapore Airlines has announced it will be flying the world's biggest passenger plane - the Airbus A380 - to Hong Kong from July 9th.
