SELF-DRIVE TOURS - canada self drive

Self Drive tours have become increasingly popular over the last few years with many visitors to Canada now renting a car on their arrival and touring Canada at their own pace. Self Drive Tours allow you the opportunity to see the areas that you wish to see and see it at your own pace - rather than being restricted to coach and rail schedules.

Choosing Your Route - The easiest way to choose your self-drive tour is to read through our brochure and decide the areas which appeal to you the most. Throughout the brochure we have many ideas on what to see and do in the most popular destinations - all these can be included in your itinerary. Once you have your route, take a look through the self drive tours featured here, we are sure you will find one that fits your requirements - but if there isn’t - we have the solution, most of our itineraries are flexible and can be adjusted to include anything you wish!

Our Chosen Tours - There are many pre-packaged self drive itineraries to choose from and as we cannot feature them all, we have chosen a selection of the best, all of which differ in content and duration, but each offering a variety of components.

Children - Generally, there is no charge for one or two children, 11 years and under, sharing a hotel room and existing bedding (two double beds) with two adults paying the twin price. On tours where entrances, transportation (ferry, train, etc), attractions are included, a child rate may apply. Details will be advised on request or at the time of booking.

Driving Distances - Canada is a huge country and driving distances are often much greater than some people anticipate. Please take this into account when planning your route

Car Hire Included - Included in all our self-drive tours is your car rental. The car size varies from tour to tour but will generally be a midsize vehicle. All include Unlimited Kilometres, Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and all local taxes. If you would prefer a larger car, this can be arranged for a small supplement.

Please note: Fuel or hotel parking charges are NOT included in your package.
What’s Included - All of our tours include accommodation and your vehicle rental. Some tours may also include ferry journeys or sightseeing attractions. Full details of what each tour includes are listed with each itinerary.

All of our pre-packaged self-drive itineraries also include a comprehensive information kit. This includes essential information featuring overview notes of the local area, local sightseeing and attractions, route maps and driving instructions. This package will be available at the reception desk of your first overnight hotel.

What’s Not Included - Tour costs do not include air fares, car fuel, or parking (if applicable) at your hotels. Full details of the items not included are shown with each itinerary.
